11-inch star is molded from a resin compound. It doesn't quite lie totally flat against a surface and is about 2-1/4 inches in depth.
The undercoat is a dark gray color and the golden brown mustard or old gold finish is thin in spots which allows the gray undercoat to show through. The surface is a bit rough and slightly textured.
